年越しキリマンジャロ登山-ルート編１〜３日目- Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro-Route Day 1-3-
2017→2018の年越しで、アフリカ最高峰のキリマンジャロに登ってきました！
せっかくだから初日の出を頂上で♪っという事で半年くらい前から計画しました。
（高山病で最後の最後に歩けなくなり頂上に行けなかったのはここだけの話 笑。）
I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa from the end of 2017 to the beginning of 2018!
I wanted to see the first sunrise of 2018 at the top, so we started planning for this trip 6 months before we went.
(Actually I couldn’t make it to the top due to mountain sickness…lol)
5泊6日かけてのテント泊登山、
毎日見れる景色が変わってとっても楽しかったのでルートと一緒に紹介します。
We stayed in tents for 5 nights while climbing,
We could see different sceneries everyday and it was so much fun, so I’d like to introduce those sceneries with the route we climbed.
私達が登ったのは「マチャメルート」
The name of the rout was “Machame Route”
登山前半戦！
《12月27日：出発前日-Dec. 27th: The day before departure》
キリマンジャロ空港から麓の街モシ入り。
この日はガイドからルートの説明を受けたり、
持参した装備のチェックをしてもらったり、
足りない装備のレンタルをしたり。
（実は午前中にモシに着いたのでコーヒーツアーに行って、登山前日にハイキングを楽しんで若干の筋肉痛でキリマンジャロに挑みました 笑)
We got to Kilimanjaro International Airport and stayed in the town located in the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro called Moshi.
We met guides and they explained the route, checked our equipments, and helped us to rent equipments.
(We got to Moshi in the morning so we had coffee tour and hiked to the waterfall before climbing Kilimanjaro. So we already had some muscle ache before start climbing…lol)
《12月28日:1日目-Dec. 28th: Day1》
マチャメゲート→マチャメキャンプ(Machame gate to Machame camp)
高度(Elevation)：1646m→2865m
距離(Distance)：11km
所要時間(Hiking time)：5-7時間
熱帯雨林(Rain forest)
ジャングルの中を冒険してるみたいでワクワク止まず！
そんなに傾斜もきつくなく,みんなでお喋りしながら歩いたらあっという間。
天気も良くて半袖でも汗かくくらい。
でもキャンプサイトに着いて日が暮れると寒かったー！
It was like exploring in a jungle and very exciting! The slope was not that steep and we could talk all the way while hiking. The whether was nice and hot to sweat, but once it got dark when we reached the campsite, it got cold.
《12月29日:2日目-Dec. 29th: Day2》
マチャメキャンプ→シラキャンプ(Machame camp to Shira camp)
高度(Elevation)：2865m→3810m
距離(Distance)：5km
所要時間(Hiking Time)：4-6時間
荒野(Moorland)
この日は傾斜のきつい登りが多いため時間は短め。
The climbing time was a little short because of many steep slopes.
生い茂ってた草木の背がどんどん低くなって視界もひらけ、
上から眺める景色が増えた。
The highs of plants got shorter and shorter as we climb up and the view opened up. We could see more sceneries from above.
《12月30日:3日目-Dec. 30th: Day3》
シラキャンプ→ラヴァタワー→バランコキャンプ
(Shira camp to Lava tower to Barranco camp)
高度(Elevation)：2865m→3962m
距離(Distance)：10km
所要時間(Hiking Time)：6-8時間
半砂漠地帯(Semi desert)
3日目は高度順応の日。
登って降りて前日とほとんど変わらない高度の場所で1泊。
The 3rd day was adaptation day for the altitude.
We went up and down to the almost same altitude of the day before to stay a night.
パイナップルみたいな高山植物がたくさん！
There were so many alpine plants looked like pineapples!
夕方からは雲も晴れて、
バランコキャンプからはキリマンジャロの頂上が綺麗に見えました！
The sky cleared up in the evening and we could see the top of the mountain from the campsite clearly.
丁度満月だったため夜は月明かりに照らされるキリマンジャロも拝めました(^^)
Also, it was a full moon night and we were able to see the summit in the moonlight:)
